How did we start

The Key Club International, comprised of high school students, is part of the larger Kiwanis International family. The Key Club International has more than 250,000 members in 5,000 schools worldwide. As part of the Key Club International, the oldest and largest service program for high school students, the Key Club of Vancouver Westside is committed to serving our local community through fundraising events and other service opportunities to serve the children in Vancouver and the global community.

The Key Club of Vancouver Westside is a community-based club chartered in April 2012 through the Kiwanis International and sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Richmond. It is comprised of grades 8-12 students from various schools in the Vancouver area such as St. George’s School, Churchill Secondary School, University Hill High School, Vancouver College, Little Flower Academy, Lord Byng and many others.

To lead and Serve

We gather motivated high school students who wish to to practice leadership and deliver service to their communities.

We provide the opportunity to take initiatives by planning fundraisers together to help those in need abroad and volunteering to serve local needs.

We encourage leadership by running meetings, giving presentations, and holding elections for positions.

We focus on giving each member the chance to become adept leaders through hands on experience.
